EVERYTHING IS BIG AT THE COFFEE PASAL
Coffee Pasal is a relatively new establishment in the capital hub of Durbarmarg, but it’s becoming increasingly popular, increasingly fast. We’re guessing that has something to do with the pieces of heaven they serve on plates along with the splendid service.
It might seem like we’re overselling the place, but there are few other food joints in the country that is impressive as this. The aesthetically alluring three storey setting allows you to watch while they prepare your food and track it down as the friendly (and pretty) staff bring it to you. They’ve pretty much hit the nail on the head with Coffee Pasal. Here’s what you need to try when you get around to visiting this lovely eatery, and we suggest you make that visit as soon as possible.
QUATTRO SANDWICH
When a club sandwich just isn’t big enough, you reach for the Quattro Sandwich. This four layered meaty goodness incorporates the best of sandwich desirables on one plate. You get your choice of bread ( brown, rye or whole wheat) to which you can add a generous patty of marinated grilled chicken, a healthy portion of fried eggs and delight of smoked ham, with a side bonus of coleslaw and ca-jun spiced fries, and you have a sandwich you don’t want to resist.
THE NEW YORK STYLE BURGER
Layers of savory goodness define this teetering delicacy that looks almost intimidating for a burger. Its sheer size will have you relishing in delicious fear. The massive towering heaped layers consist of mayo, mustard, fresh veggies, beet root, caramelized onions, cheese and juicy beef tenderloin held together by soft buns. Fried eggs and bacon also make their way into this massive jaw-breaker.
The burger is the hero of the dish, but the generous helping of Cajun spiced fries is the equally amazing side kick.
