The building was the royal residence of the rulers of Nepal during the 19th Century. Staying true to its regal identity — built by HH Sri Tin Maharaja Juddha Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana who was one of the most distinguished architects of that time was hired by the powerful Rana Rajas to build this beautiful palace. During the construction of the hotel, the building façade was kept intact but the interiors were revived for guests to experience the taste of comfort that they’d expect in a top-class luxury hotel. The boutique hotel boasts of royalty mixed with modern glamorous décor.
The rooms exude quiet charm, a world away from cold chain hotels and the mad bustle in the streets of Kathmandu.
