‘From the Pit- Nepal’s First Event Photography Exhibition’ by Dipit Raz explored the connection between music and audience in a raw and enthralling manner, which was something new and different in the local scenario. Pit is a no-man’s area, in front of the stage, designated only for photographers to take the best shots. Hence, as the title implied, he showcased some of his finest shots taken ‘from the pit’.

Featuring more than 200 photographs, it was the most comprehensive examination his work to date. The photographs on display fused and exposed the essence
of both sides of the spectrum –
the stage and the photo pit, in a fascinating manner.

Having worked with almost
all the top event companies,
bands, musicians, artists (local
& international) for the past
8 years, Dipit Raz has carved himself a niche image in the event photography scene. Few work
with as much depth and breadth
as Dipit does, no questions asked. His aesthetics differ from other event photographers as he goes to great lengths to depict the artists, producing surreal photographs with striking visual drama. He photographs everyone who matter in the underground music scenario, and they should thank him for making them look good.
