The melodies of classic love songs and Bollywood magic have enraptured the masses for generations. Although its popularity might have wavered from time to time, with modern music taking the limelight, there is no denying the classics have a way of outshining the competition when put up to the task.
We stumbled across Trishala’s Facebook page a long time ago and were spell bound by her talents. Usually, at this point, we drone on and on about how stunningly beautiful she was and how we had to sit down for a bit (not saying that that didn’t happen); but it was her singing voice that left us spellbound. Her renditions of classing Nepali and Hindi songs are captivating, to say the least, and we just couldn’t get enough of her.
Add to it the fact that she is the cutest possible human being on the face of the earth and you have reason enough to go weak in the knees. Thanks to our day jobs, we are allowed to stalk, track and take photos of someone we are obsessed with without being judged by society. We did exactly that.
Turns out she’s more than just a beautiful face and voice. Believe it or not, she’s completing her MBBS. Beauty with brains, talk about a killer combo. This is as close to perfection as it gets if you ask us.
WHAT SORT OF WITCHCRAFT DO YOU PRACTICE IN ORDER TO DO YOUR MBBS, SING AND PERFORM, AND STILL LOOK DROP DEAD GORGEOUS 24X7?
Oh Stop. *Blushes* I don’t believe I am any different to all the beautiful girls out there. Everyone takes care of themselves in today’s world whether they be studying MBBS or Arts. I just feel blessed to have such strong supporters who love my singing and honestly no one would have known had it not been for them. So I owe them a lot really.
BUT SERIOUSLY, YOU’VE GOT A LOT ON YOUR PLATE. HOW DO YOU MANAGE EVERYTHING?
Music has always been an escape for me. As a medical student I do have a lot of studies to do but I wouldn’t say I need time aside for music, I will always have time for music.
WHAT GOT YOU INTO MUSIC?
I have my older brother to thank; he introduced me to different kinds of music. As the little sister I have always looked up to him and slowly these songs really grew on to me and when I figured out that I could sing, music has been the love of my life.
IS THERE A FAVORITE GENRE THAT YOU HAVE?
Not really, I actually listen to all types of genres. It may not look like it but I grew up listening to alternative rock.
DO YOU HAVE A CERTAIN STYLE THAT YOU RELATE WITH MOST?
In English it’s mostly R’n’b and with Nepali and Hindi it’s mostly melodious songs.
WHO ARE YOUR MUSICAL INSPIRATIONS?
I’ve always been a huge fan of Alicia Keys ever since I was a little girl, but recently I have been following a lot of Tori Kelly.
ARE YOU PLANNING ON TRYING OUT A CAREER IN MUSIC BEFORE YOU FINALLY SETTLE IN AS A DOCTOR?
No, not really. Music has always just been a hobby. It’s something that helps me think and relax. I am not really looking forward to a career in music but if the stars do align, I wouldn’t mind it.
WHAT WOULD A GUY HAVE TO DO TO GET YOUR ATTENTION?
He would need to appreciate music just as much as I do. That is a must!
HOW DO YOU REACT WHEN YOU GET HIT ON, WHICH WE ASSUME HAPPENS A LOT?
I’ve got friends who hardly let that happen and even if it does all us girl’s got each other’s backs.
